Description:

FREE LECTURE FOR ALL TICKET HOLDERS BEGINS ONE HOUR PRIOR TO CONCERT.

An ensemble of eight women’s voices directed by Ellen Hargis explore the music of baroque convents. Behind the cloister walls, these gifted women composed, arranged, and performed virtuoso music for their own devotional use, singing in astonishing vocal ranges. Harp and viola da gamba will accompany the music of Chiara Margarita Cozzolani, Isabella Leonarda, and Sulpitia Cesis.

Restrictions:

Exchanges may be made for $2.50/ticket: they must be confirmed within 3 hours of ticketed concert time. Unused tickets can be donated up to 3 hours before ticketed concert time. This charge is for single ticket holders only; it does not apply to subscribers.
